Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the ParkPatch app and website. ParkPatch is a marketplace that connects drivers ("Parkers") with people offering private parking spaces ("Hosts") in Australia. All prices on ParkPatch are shown in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.

What ParkPatch is

ParkPatch provides the platform: search, booking, payment collection, navigation, and communication. The parking itself is provided by the Host. When you book, a contract for the parking service is formed between the Parker and the Host, with ParkPatch acting as the facilitating intermediary and collecting payment on the Host's behalf.

Bookings and pricing

  • The total price, including any event pricing, is shown before you confirm. You are charged when the booking is confirmed.
  • A booking entitles the named vehicle to occupy the listed space for the booked window, plus a 10-minute departure grace period.
  • Extensions can be purchased in the app at the rates shown at the time. Overstaying without extending may incur additional charges at double the hourly rate.

Cancellations and refunds

Summarised here; the full policy is at Refunds & Cancellations. Parkers get a full refund for cancellations more than 2 hours before the start time. If a Host cancels, or a booked space is unavailable on arrival, the Parker receives a full refund and we attempt to relocate them to a nearby space.

Host obligations

  • You must have the legal right to offer the space (owner, or renter with permission). Public street parking may not be listed.
  • The space must match its listing (dimensions, access, features) and be clear and available for every confirmed booking, including responding to ReadyCheck requests.
  • Earnings are paid to your nominated bank account after the booking completes, less ParkPatch's service fee shown at listing time. You are responsible for your own tax obligations on earnings.

Acceptable use and content

Listings, photos, reviews and messages must be accurate, lawful and respectful. We provide in-app tools to report content and block users, and we act on reports promptly — typically within 24 hours. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules or the law.

Liability

ParkPatch does not own or control the spaces and is not liable for loss or damage to vehicles or property except where caused by our own negligence or where liability cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, including consumer guarantees that services be provided with due care and skill.
